My Corpus-based teaching material

Hi, my dear readers. I hope you all well.:) I prepared a corpus-based material this week with my friend Melisa. Corpus system means a collection of linguistic data. Like words, phrases or synoyms. And there are lots of corpus sites in internet. But we choose ‘’Skell’’ site with my friend because we thought that it would be less complicated for our students. Our students will understand the difference between advice and advise by using our material. 

And also this site involves different part about words. So it will be easier for our students to undertsand the difference between these two words we have chosen. In other words, our students will be able to find not only the use of the word they are searching for in different sentences, but also words close to that searched word. 

To tell the truth, it was not easy for us to prepare this material. Because we hadn't prepared this kind of material before, we hadn't even seen it. That's why preparing this material felt very confusing at first. After what we learned in the lesson and the information we gained, my friend and I prepared a draft version of this material. Then we evaluated the feedback our teacher gave to this draft version and edited our material very easily. In addition, seeing the drafts prepared by our other classmates in the lesson made us come up with more different ideas about our material. We tried to prepare our material as clearly and simply as possible. I hope you will like it.

  Hello, my dear readers. A ctually, I'm a little sad writing this post because I may not share a post here for a long time. As you know, I have been sharing with you the materials I have learned and created here for a long time through the tasks assigned to me. I will no longer be able to be active on this account every week due to the end of my class, but who knows, maybe one day I will share with you the materials I have learned again.  It was really important for me to learn and produce something new in this lesson. Even though this semester was an online semester, I continued to learn in an interactive way thanks to this course and I felt that I was improving. What has technology brought and will bring to language learning?

Hello, my dear readers. As you can understand from my post’s heading, I prepared a timeline about the history of technology in language learning. It is not a very detailed timeline, but it contains the most important events on the dates that have been written. We are in the years when technological development is very fast. New content and programs are constantly being produced, and as they are integrated into education, education becomes more easily accessible.   I can say that I have never had any difficulties preparing the timeline.
